On Sunday the 21st of November members of the Signal Telecom team completed a fun, yet challenging 20-mile trek from Saltburn Pier to Whitby Pier - In aid of Butterwick Hospice. This is a charity close to our hearts, they have been providing vital care in the North East for almost 4 decades.
The mission was a huge challenge for all involved, and the conditions on the day were treacherous; strong winds played a key part in the day. Especially on top of the cliffs, along the scenic coastline.
The last 5 miles from Runswick Bay onwards was a real test, the steep ascents getting out of the towns were arduous. But we managed to persevere all the way to the finish line. It was certainly one to remember and the team was proud (and relieved) when they arrived at Whitby Pier.
Well deserved fish and chips were enjoyed by all at the fabulous Trenchers Restaurant, where they kindly donated a further £50. We are leaving donations open for a week or so longer, so if you would like to donate you can by visiting: https://bit.ly/3mLhuSA
Check out this gallery of fantastic photographs that our team captured throughout the day!
